We planned a short getaway to Lake Travis. It was MUCH needed and I'm glad we got to spend time with our good friends (CHILDhood friends)! We rented out a beautiful house in hill country.
We had access to a beautiful resort which we spent our whole first day relaxing at!
Ciara came ALL THE WAY from NYC (minus hubbie but INCLUDING her sweet baby boy belly in tow).
The kids enjoyed playing out back in the evenings although I have to admit their "beware of rattlesnakes" had me a tad nervous. Thankfully we had zero run ins.
Kent got dared to drink some baby formula....
Saturday we attempted the lake.
After Boston got a little shaken up from an incident tubing and deciding there were TOO many kids with TOO few adults on board. The kids got off and the daddy's and me (and Jamie for a bit) stayed to play a little bit longer. Once Brett & Taylor finished their fun on their jet skis, Kent gave them a run for their money on the tube.
Then Brett got back at Kent. Let's just say we were all a bit bruised and sore the next day (my bruise lasted well into the next week).
Distance won't destroy this relationship....Halle girl still loved her some Kent!
Because of the drought, we couldn't roast marshmellows outside in the firepit so Taylor got creative and we used to stove inside instead.
Sunday was of course Father's Day, so we celebrated with a yummy breakfast and quickly packed up and headed out.
And by the end we were all exhausted

y'all are so cute! looked like a lot of fun.
Looks like fun! It is still so neat to me that all of those boys married all of you girls. That way we get to keep in touch with everyone!!
