HERE WE COME!!!!!
I'm currently packing so I can go meet this little man:

Can't wait to hold you, kiss you, and love on you tomorrow baby Krew!
OH HOW I LOVE MY LITTLE MAN!
I haven't really done much updating on Boston's little quirks lately so I'm dedicating this post to that:
  • Weighs 33 lbs
  • He CONSTANTLY points out his colors: red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow and pink
  • LOVES to count 1-10
  • Says, "READY, SET, GOOOO!" anytime he's about to go do something
  • When he calls for me now he says, "Ka EE" and he will also do the same for "Kent" (it's funny although I miss being mama!)
  • He has officially learned how to open the refrigerator which DRIVES ME NUTS
  • Has moved on from Barney and is now a DORA and DIEGO fan....I hear "bridge, rock, WAAAATERFALL!" all day when he's playing!
  • Repeats EVERYTHING everyone else does (I'm a little worried to have a little "follower"...we need him to be a LEADER!)
  • He has a SLIGHT obsession with airplanes and can spot one flying in the sky ALLL the time (I guess I never paid much attention to these things).
  • We used to have peace and quiet in the car on roadtrips but NOW he's SUCH a talker and wants to point out EVERYTHING he sees. That includes EVERY cow in a pasture of 30! Kent and I can't have a conversation with this boy in the car.
  • "Please" and "thank you" have been taught and learned although if he's upset he doesn't understand that PLEASE is supposed to be a polite word and not SCREAMED at me for something he wants and doesn't understand that it doesn't work that way! For instance, when he has something he shouldn't and I'm taking it from him he holds on tighter and yells, "LET GO PEASE, LET GO PEASE!!!!!"
  • After he says "thank you" he quickly follows it with "your welcome!" (appreciate that buddy!)
  • He still LOVES ball, trucks, trains.
  • Jumping and running are a consistent thing in our house which makes for some VERY angry neighbors below (but I don't care anymore).
  • Nursery has turned into a battle but he DOES LOVE, LOVE, LOVE singing time.
  • Favorite songs: Do As I'm Doing, The Chapel Doors, I Am Like A Star, Popcorn Popping and then there's the Blackeyes Peas, "BOOM BOOM TOW"--in Boston's terms.
  • Favorite foods: CHICKEN NUGGEST & MAC N CHEESE and NO this boy still will not TOUCH vegetables!
  • He has become VERY independent and wants to do almost EVERYTHING by himself and gets upset if he can't do it right.
  • Lastly, my son is OCD! Sometimes this is a good thing when it comes to cleaning his room but other times THIS DRIVES ME NUTS!!!

I'm sure there's more things but this is all off the top of my head right now. I love this little guy and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this age! He's my little buddy and I'm really taking in this time that I have with him right now!

I'M A MODEL YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN....

And I do my little turn on the catwalk

On the catwalk...

On the catwalk...

And I do my little turn on the catwalk

On the catwalk!
One of the perks from this weekend was the my Uncle Mike gave like a GAZILLION dollars worth of clothes to Kent that he'd grown out of...or I guess more like got too skinny for. Since Kent and him are the same height and once the same size, Kent was the perfect one to take over all these new clothes! There are a few that probably aren't quite his style just yet but there are a TON of clothes including pants, shorts, shirts, suits, etc. that work FABULOSO (my spanish way of saying FABULOUS) that have BARELY been worn! Thanks MIKE for giving my husband some NEW CLOTHES!!! We owe you!!
NOTE TO UNCLE MIKE: Kent's FAVORITE are the Tommy Bahama khaki shorts that you said he'd LOVE...and HE DOES!!!

GUESS WHO CAME TO VISIT?!?
Like I've said before, our summer has been COMPLETELY busy and nonstop! It's GO, GO, GO, GO, GO! So of course, again this past weekend it wasn't time to slow down! My parents decided to pop on over for a quick weekend visit (one perk to living only 4 hrs from home). They got in late Friday night and spent Saturday and Sunday with us.
Saturday morning since we had some babysitters, Kent and I decided it'd be a good chance to take advantage of that and attend an early morning session at the temple. It was the 1st time I'd been to the Houston temple and although it seemed smaller than I thought inside, it was of course BEAUTIFUL! I REALLY enjoyed the chance to go, you always feel refreshed after leaving! After the temple, we met up with (my mom's BFF) the Rawson's for some delicous mexican food at Los Cucos! We headed from there to visit my Uncle Mike and Aunt Jill for a little bit before heading to the ASTROS game with them! Mike got us some pretty sweet seats and although they got SMOKED, what's a summer without going to a baseball game?!? I can't live without it anymore! Sunday we headed to church where nursery was WAY over crowded and WAY under staffed so my mom and I pitched in to help! Have I ever mentioned before how much Boston LOVES, LOVES, LOVES singing time in nursery? It's his FAVORITE!!!! Anyway, after church we bailed and went home to cook up some yummy steaks to feed my parents before they left to head back to Louisiana!
SIDENOTE: I used to hate crocs, I still think they are the ugliest thing for your feet BUT since this is NOW the ONLY thing that can fit my son's feet these days (yes, they must be ONE size too big in order to fit) they are OFFICIALLY my FAVORITE!

Boston DID NOT want to pose for pictures so he hopped in the wagon. So mimi and papa being so great, got in with him!!!
Thanks for coming this weekend! It was SO fun to have ya'll and I KNOW Boston LOVED it and misses you both already (and Mimi's 'truck')! See you again on FRIDAY!!!!!

WE KEEP GOING AND GOING AND GOING.....
Kiers had left some stuff here in Houston when they came over the 4th and she texted (ok, actually bbm'ed but that's just to clarify =)) trying to find a week to come and get the things they left. After discussing dates, the only time that was really available for us was this week. It makes me exhausted feeling that through the end of August we are booked with things going on but aren't that what summers are for? Anyway, I offered to send the stuff to her but she said she wanted to come hang out so she treked from Dallas to Houston Wednesday afternoon with Halle and Isabel! Boston was THRILLED when we got the knock on the door that evening and it was ISABEL!!!!!! They played and played from the moment they got here to the moment they left (yes, this includes making bedtime VEEEERY difficult!). We tried to keep the kids busy so they'd be exhausted and worn out at the end of the day. We brought them out in the sun a few times to swim at the pool.
We also took them to The Woodlands Children's Museum Friday.

Boston was on cloud nine with the train tables.

They dug for some dinosaur bones (although I don't know if they quite understood that part).

We played dress up which Isabel was NOT in favor of.

So Boston GLADLY took the hat for himself. Come to think of it, that's probably really gross having that on his head when probably 10338309208+ kids have had that thing on their heads. Can we say LICE?!?

There was a tunnel from the "submarine" they crawled through. Boston was SUPER excited about this thing. I don't know if I've seen him RUN SOO fast and dive in and crawl SOOO FAST to get through!

We found an oversized chair and sofa that Isabel wanted nothing to do with. It was SOOO dirty looking I kinda wish now that Boston had felt the same way!

They played in the sandbox which resulted to sand in the hair, down the shirt, and stuck all over Boston's sweaty feet.

We decided to leave our mark on the car.

Yes, I chose to make SURE people knew I was there!

We left with the kids filthy from chalk, sand and germs but they had a blast! We took them to the play area in the mall to run around more and when Boston began DEMANDING to play with his shoes ON (my son if VEEEEEERY persistent), we left and took the kids to run in the fountains outside. I think overall this day wore them out. Kiers and I were trying SO hard to go to the movies on Thursday night but we wanted to make sure the kids were down for Kent and that night we had NO LUCK! Thankfully, Friday they were worn out helping make that night a little smoother for us to escape. We got to see MY SISTER'S KEEPER where I CRIED pretty much through the WHOLE thing! It was a little different from the book but what movie isn't? I still liked it and couldn't help thinking about if MY little man was in that situation! Anyway, Saturday was another pool day and then we finished the night with some good ole Logan's Roadhouse before Kiers headed back that night to Dallas with the kids!
It was a fun week together and it was nice staying busy while Kent was working long days. Isabel kept Boston company although I think towards the end he enjoyed being a TEASE more than playing (either the lack of sleep was getting to him or he's just becoming more like his dad..)! Thanks for coming Kiersten and daring the road trip by yourself with 2 kids! OH! And Britta, I'm SORRY Kiersten wasn't there for the birth of baby Crew! It was HER fault NOT mine!!!! I told her she OWES YOU BIG!!!
P.S. I know I said Halle came with Kiersten and she DID but why I have no pictures, I have NO idea! I'm sorry little Halle!
P.P.S. My pictures are SOO blurry lately. Sorry, I don't know what is making them that way. Maybe I need to clean the lense?

EXPLORING SAN ANTONIO
This past weekend, Boston and I decided last minute to tag along on Kent's work trip down to San Antonio. I booked a hotel and off we went! Since Kent had to work all day Friday and we had no access to a car, Boston and I just explored downtown. Now I know what its like to live in the city and WALK EVERYWHERE!!!! It is a little tiring but it was a cool experience. We did the whole Riverwalk, Alamo thing since Kent had already done all that before.
I figured I should learn a little bit more about the Alamo since I live in TEXAS but I can't say I came out knowing any more than I somewhat knew!

I stopped and let Boston enjoy tossing money into the fountain. Anytime he sees a fountain he rubs his fingers together and says "Money?" The kid knows!
We shopped a little and then headed back to the hotel to swim a little bit and then headed back out on the hunt for some dinner. When all was said and done, I was EXHAUSTED and I think it wore the little man out too because to my surprise I didn't have alot of issues getting this man to crash!

This was our 1st hotel we've stayed at with him (ok minus the one when he was like a month old) and I was nervous it would be a game of him crawling out of bed, jumping on the bed, etc! But it wasn't!!! He did GREAT! But I must say, after this experience I'm NOT a fan of co-sleeping with the little ones! This boy MOVES and KICKS and gets mad if YOU are in HIS way!
Anyway, the next day we got to finally hang out with Kent. We drove around and explored the area to see if it would ever be liveable to us (the answer is NO from me) and then we headed to San Marcos for a little outlet shopping. We didn't come away with much because somehow I couldn't convince Kent that buying furniture while we are temporarily in Houston with all our other stuff in storage was a good a idea! Oh well, San Marcos, we'll be back!
We finished off the evening with meeting up with our old friend's Jenny and Preston from college and did dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant! We finally got to meet their cute little girls, Jamie Lynn and Kylie! Jamie Lynn and Boston were sooo cute together! It was fun to catch up with friends we haven't seen in ages!!!
We headed back to Houston that night and made it a quick yet fun family getaway! I'm glad Kent let us tag along!!!
DALLAS OR BUST!
After I got home from Kansas, that next weekend Boston and I were on the move again up to Dallas because we wanted to go and meet this sweet little face:
Halle Joy! Can I just say that Boston LOVED her! I was TOTALLY taken back by that because usually if I'm holding other babies he gets VERY jealous but not with this little one! Sign of him wanting a sibling in the mix? Who knows, but it is still a little far off regardless!

Sometimes he was a little concerned when she'd cry and not have her binky. One day I couldn't find Boston and after looking everywhere, I saw Kiers' bedroom door open and Halle was crying. So I went back and found Boston with his hands on the pack-n-play peeking up over the crib trying to reach her binky for her. It was kinda sweet! Hopefully this means he'll be a good big brother ONE day!
Mary invited us over one day for a little playdate at their house. The kids LOVED it although I'm afraid Boston stole little Izzy from the O-man (it's just temporarily no worries Owen). But I MUST say yesterday Boston was calling for Owen all day! Weird huh?

Halle waited patiently for everyone to finish.

THIS little man LOVES the water! He's a FISH! He kicks his arms and legs JUST like a little swimmer! Olympics 203o watch out!

I kept trying to get a pic of Isabel and Boston but as you can tell by this picture they could have cared less!
We took the kids to this little jump house where I was exhausted by the end of it!

The kids would begin to climb up by themselves and then...

I ended up caring them the rest of the way! Talk about a WORKOUT!

Taylor took the kids one night so all the girls could go out for a girl's night (thanks Taylor for putting up with my screaming child). It was nice to have a little bit of girl chat for an evening with NO kids and the guac was even MORE amazing...the fajitas weren't bad either...although the creepy man afterwards was a little too much for me!
We had a GREAT weekend and it makes me miss Dallas SOOOOO SOOOO much!!! One of these days I'll get back there to live....ONE day!

IT'S TIME TO PLAY CATCH UP!
I better start getting up to date with my blog or else things are going to continue to pile up and pile up! I don't know if this will end!
After Louisiana, we headed to Kansas City with Kristin and the kids. Did we slow down? NOPE! We stayed just as busy there as the rest of our trips! We SHOPPED (would you expect us NOT to?), I got my hair done FINALLY from one of Kristin's friend (thank you Melissa), we PLAYED, we ATE, we SWAM and saw old friends! I think Boston LOVES going to Kristin's house because #1 his cousins are there to play with whom he LOVES and #2 they have toys to keep him busy for DAYS! So I must say overall Boston was a delight that week....or at least it now being a month later my mind doesn't recollect any horrible memory.
One of the days we were there, Kristin took us back over to Deanna Rose. We had gone before but Boston was younger so I was VERY excited to take him back again this year.
To my surprise Boston did NOT hesitate to feed the goats!

We took all the kids on the hayride. The kids were SO good this day and Sophie kept saying on the hayride, "Mom, I love you!" and "Mom, thank you for saying yes to everyfing!" It was adorable!

We went and fed the baby goats bottles and I'm afraid Charlie wasn't a big fan....
This year, I wasn't as surprised when they jumped up on me....these little things are VERY anxious for food! I think they knocked little Sophie over!

Since Kristin was saying "Yes" to everything according to Sophie, the girls got to go on the pony rides which they LOVED! On the other hand, Boston was RATHER upset because he was too little to ride....I believe that caused a scene.

They also had a racetrack for these little tractors. Both of the girls happened to match the tractor they picked.
Since his cousin's rode, OF COURSE he had to ride although he IS too small to ride so I ended up pushing and steering the whole time (talk about working up a sweat!) which made Boston VERY upset anytime I touched the wheel! Apparently, he wants to be independent these days!
When we were finally finished and worn out, we took the kids to the water stream they have and let the kids cool off.

Our week seemed busy but I'm SOO glad I took the time out to meet up with Ross and Lindsay! I got to see how HUGE Braden is now and I also got to meet little (well he's actually HUGE for as old as he is) baby Cashel! We hung out at their place and then grabbed some lunch and headed to Penguin Park....VERY cool park by the way!

Look how HUGE and CHUNKY he is!!!! He's adorable!!!

We miss ya'll! I'm SOO glad we got to hang out together for a little bit! I've gotta get Kent up there so we can recreate our Rexburg days! Seeing ya'll makes me miss those days (NOT Rexburg but THOSE DAYS!).
Kansas was a BLAST but after 3 weeks of being away from Kent we were VERY ready to come home and get our life back to normal again. It was Boston's first flight with his own seat which was VERY nice and he did GREAT! He's not a fan of being buckled in for more than 5-10 min so I really had to work the distractions but we made it through! Thanks Kristin for putting up with us for so long! We miss ya'll and are VERY excited to see ya'll again in 2 weeks!
