HAVE WE DONE IT?!?!?!
So, yes, Boston is 2 and still sleeps with his pacifier and YES he still uses the SAME soothie they give you in the hospital! Anyway, I have been meaning to rid him of this habit for awhile and I had honestly attempted before and it was QUITE the experience. ANYWAY...
Kent had taken Boston's pacifier from him this morning (we only let him have it when he sleeps). Well, Kent was headed out of town and so he packed and left. It was naptime and I was looking for Boston's pacifier and couldn't find it. So I called and asked where it was. Come to find out, Kent had put in his basketball short's pocket. When I asked where those shorts were he said they were packed with him!!!!!!!! So sure enough, the pacifier was on its way to San Antonio! GREAT! We had bought a pack of pacifiers a few weeks ago when we were at Catherine and Daniel's and had forgotten to bring his binki to lay him down. Well he didn't take them then because they were too hard to suck since they were brand new. TRUST ME this boy KNOWS the difference! This was the only thing I could resort to. So for 45 min I sucked, twisted, and chewed on this binki to try and make it "suckable" for Boston. I went and layed him down and SURE ENOUGH he knew it wasn't THE binki and handed it back to me calling for his "ginky." I tried explaining to him it was gone and inside I'm totally thinking its going to be a ROUGH afternoon. Well, after 20 min of crying he was OUT! He slept a GOOD LONG NAP! Although nap went over OKAY, I was still nervous for BEDTIME! BUT to my surprise there wasn't a SINGLE cry or a SINGLE scream! He's OUT! I honestly CAN NOT believe it!!!! Is this the end of the "ginky?" I'm probably speaking too soon but I'm hoping so! I'm also HOPING that tomorrow goes smooth! CROSS YOUR FINGERS!!!!! If he accomplishes this, I think he deserves a BIG reward!
THE BEGINNING OF A BUSY, YET FUN, JUNE!
Waaaaay back at the end of May, Kristin trekked down to Houston for a week's stay before we headed together with the kids down to Baton Rouge. I'm really going to have to refresh my memory of what we did for a week's time. I do know FOR SURE that we shopped and spent more money than either of our husband's really wanted us to yet surprisingly I think they expected that and weren't upset about it! We also visited with Uncle Mike, Aunt Jill and the girls and Sis. Nena sometime during the trip.
Kristin came bearing gifts for Boston! He absolutely LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his new "DUNK!" and literally plays with it the majority of our day. Although, I WILL say he was NOT very good at sharing with Charlie. You know, apparently he's a little THREATENED by boys SMALLER than him!
We took the kids swimming a few times. Rylee and Sophie LOVE the pool and could probably stay in ALL day if we let them. We also made a day trip down to Galveston to Stewart Beach...yes, 2 moms and 4 kids to the SANDY beach! We had a cooler filled with drinks that bottomed out when we were carrying it, we had NO IDEA how to set up our umbrella so we just GHETTO rigged it, and we had to keep a MAJOR eye out for jellyfish that were EVERYWHERE!!! But overall the kids LOVED it and I can NEVER complain when getting a chance to add a little color to my skin!!! Kristin and I also both FORGOT how annoying sand is! It gets into EVERYTHING!!! The kids were eating fruit, chips, sandwiches ALL of which had a nice sandy crunch to them. Luckily the kids didn't mind...only Kristin and I did.

I look so PALE in this picture and I don't know why because at the time I actually had some color to my skin.....so I thought!

If you look closely you can see the handfuls of SAND Boston thought would be fun to put ontop of his head!
Pals on occasions...enemies a minute later!
We ended up bailing out of Houston a day early for Baton Rouge. I think the neighbors downstairs probably REALLY appreciated that (yes, we did have a few encounters over the week but Kent, being the man that he is, went down and said a few words and got it resolved...I think the lady was a little scared. Since then, we haven't heard a PEEP from them...okay minus their 6:30 am wake up calls with their BLARING music!).
Anyway, that's our Houston rendezvous in a nutshell. Next to come:
BATON ROUGE....SWEET BATON ROUGE!!!

2 YEAR PICTURES!!!!!!
So I know I have LOTS to catch up on with blogging. We've pretty much been out of town the whole month of June so I have a TON of pictures to catch up on. Instead of backtracking right now, I'm REALLY anxious to post Boston's 2 year pictures that I just got today. While I was in Dallas this week, I had WHITNI PARKER do Boston's pictures and they turned out SSOOO good (yes, I'm being a proud mom). These aren't all the pictures she gave me but they are alot of them...I just love them all so I posted the majority! THANKS WHITNI! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how they turned out! They're EXACTLY what I wanted!!!

More posts to come!

WE'RE BAAAAACK!!!
We arrived back in Houston YESTERDAY after 2 weeks of being away! Luckily Boston was superb on the flight, although I will say he is NOT in favor of being tied down to that seat for take off and landing (luckily, food and toys are a GREAT distraction). And on a side note, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Southwest! I've loved them in the past BUT 3 reasons I love them now?
1. No charge for the first TWO pieces of luggage
2. DR. PEPPER served on flight (that alone makes it the best!)
3. They are the ONLY airline that I've flown lately that will still put your carseat in a plastic bag covering!
Anyway, enough of that!
We were welcomed by THIS charming face:
And when we arrived home, we were welcomed by an INCREDIBLY CLEAN house (vacuumed, bed made, dishes done, BATHROOMS cleaned) with notes like THIS taped to the wall:

And then some mini red roses waiting for me (yes, we do it ghetto style in the summer and use a ZOO cup for stuff like this).
I guess maybe he really DID miss us? Gotta love him. Sorry, I just had to brag on my man for a minute. Well, I have LOTS of post with LOTS of pictures but I'm being lazy right now and don't feel like doing it so this is all you get for now! More to come!

NEW NEPHEW SOON TO COME!!!

We officially got word today that Kari is having her baby (hopefully...as long as all those other multiple women in Utah having babies stay away and make room for Kari) on MONDAY!!!!!! I'm SOO thrilled for her probably because I was in Utah and experienced alot of the ups and downs of her pregnancy. It has NOT been an easy road for her (what's with the Bluth girl's pregnancies?) and I know she's VERY anxious to have little baby Krew boy here! I can't WAIT to meet him and I'm sad I have to wait until July 30th to meet him!!! Why can't we all just live close? Kari, I know you'll do great! JUST THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!!! (and baby Krew...okay AND Brandon!) The clothes are on their way....

More updates to come...we've been out of town and on the go for about 3 weeks now!!! Boss man and I head home on Saturday. Wish me luck! This will be our first flight with Boston having to sit like a big boy in his OWN seat and supposedly supposed to stay seated with his seat belt securely fastened (YEAH RIGHT!!!)....any suggestions? He's flown on a plane about 14 times (that includes returning flights) but he's now 2 which means his own seat which may be a good or bad thing...guess we'll see. Have I mentioned I'm flying alone? Yeah I think I've done that 10 of the 14 flights anyway but still it WOULD be nice to have Kent there on this first!
