SEAWORLD!!!!!
Yes, we are alive! I'm very behind on my blogging so its time to play catch up (when I first typed that word I typed "ketchup"...).
Kristin's kids had spring break and they planned a trip down to San Antonio to do Seaworld, Six Flags, San Marcos, you know, the whole SHABANG! So since its so close to Houston, we convinced my mom to tag along and we headed down to meet them for a few days! Unfortunately with Kent's busy work schedule these days, he couldn't break away but I guess that gives us an even better excuse to go back soon....!
Our first full day was spent at SEAWORLD! Yes, we supported Seaworld regardless of what recently happened in Orlando. Is that bad? Well, we didn't care and we don't regret it ONE BIT! It was a BLAST!! I was so excited to go and experience Seaworld again and even MORE thrilled to see how excited the kids would be (I swear some things are just so much more fun as a parent). This place did NOT disappoint.
This picture cracks me up! Poor kids had SO much sun in their eyes. I took 4 pictures and in every one Charlie & Boston had their hands over their eyes. This was the best one I got. The things kids have to go through to satisfy their parents!
LOVE my nieces....spend one day with them, they are a CRACK UP!

The first show we saw was the Sea Lion show. VERY entertaining. Yes, we did
CHOOSE to sit in the "GET SOAKED" (I don't think that's exactly what they called it but I'm calling it that) section (maybe not Mimi but she was a good sport and did it anyway). We got wet, laughed and were seriously entertained!! The kids LOVED it and I KNEW it was the start to get GREAT day!

After the Sea lion show, Chad rushed over to get us good seats to see
SHAMU! He spoiled the boys with these glowing
light saber looking swords (yes, Chad, Mr. Money man, makes vacations VERY nice for those traveling with). The boys were entertained but I'm sure a few people got nervous that their heads were going to get chopped off by these crazy boys!

Boston started to get a little edgy before
Shamu (the boy had had VERY little sleep within the previous 48 hours &
definitely wasn't afraid to express that at points during the day). He got a little nervous about getting wet so we threw his raincoat on and this is how he chose to sit during the show (because yes, once again we sat in the "GET SOAKED" section. You can't do Seaworld any other way).

Presenting
SHAMU (there were FOUR--3 adults+1 baby).
ALL of them are
SHAMU which I don't quite understand but whatever....

Because of what happened in Orlando, they weren't allowed to get in the water with them and all the girls had their hair pinned back in buns. Even though they weren't
IN the water with them, the show was still exciting to watch! I hardly took any pictures because I just wanted to sit and watch!

LOVE this picture of Charlie. He reminds me of the "Elf on the Shelf" guy! Also, I'm sure Kristin will kill me that I showed his shoes in this picture because she was devastated to have him wear such things with his shorts. In her defense, he
DID have a major blister and being the good mom she is, she had to forget fashion and put his comfort first. While we're on the topic of fashion, PLEASE excuse my son's hair. I do NOT know what was going on with it while we were in San Antonio. It looks so weird and it would NOT style right for the life of me!
After spending an hour+ in line for lunch, once we ate we had to hurry over to the last show we were able to see. I don't remember what it was called but it was A.MA.ZING!
These little water acrobatic people were INSANE! Do you see the person in the top middle who was flung from the swing all the way up in the air like that only to flip around and dive into the water? CRAZY! The kids were MESMERIZED by this....and so were the adults!
Charlie LOVED the show too but I guess he thought the music was too loud so he sat like this the whole time....
After the shows we enjoyed some of the rides. Little Rylee LOVES...I mean LOVES roller coasters and now that she is tall enough, she's a little dare devil and will even ride UPSIDE DOWN roller coasters and seriously doesn't even get NERVOUS!!! Crazy, I know but it makes it SO MUCH FUN to ride with her!
We played in the park until dark and even were crazy enough to stand in line for the log ride. By the time we got to go, it was dark and getting cold and we FROZE when we got all wet. Sophie (who is already prepped in a rain jacket) is in front of Chad and Rylee is in front of me...both of them were ducking trying to avoid the water. It was FAREEZING!!!!!
We were leaving the park and saw this Shamu character and had to get a quick pic. Boston went up and hugged Shamu without ANY hesitation. For some reason, he was THRILLED to see him even though he was a semi-grouch during the Shamu show! (I'm looking back on pictures and yes, Kristin was there too but somehow she's not in any of my shots...)
It was a FUN, FUN day! One I DEFINITELY want to do again and AGAIN!
