We love to celebrate a holiday around our house. Boston LOVES Valentine's Day because we do the "14 days of Valentines" and each day leading up to Valentine's Day, the boys get a special gift/treat in their mailbox each morning. Sometimes I wonder WHY I started this tradition but the boys love it and now it's here to stay.
They were also thrilled when Mimi and Papa sent them a little Vday love in the mail!
Being sick and just lazy these days from the pregnancy, I didn't plan too well for the whole Valentine's Day exchange and every time I'd think of or find a fun idea, Boston didn't love it. That is UNTIL I came upon the idea of Ninjago Valentine's. This kid was thrilled....although he did very little to contribute to making these (that's what happens when life is busy and mom is a little OCD) BUT he was beyond thrilled to pass them out to his friends at school.
On Valentine's Day, Kent brought me home some beautiful flowers (I love getting flowers) and a bouquet of butterfingers. We made heart pancakes for the boys for breakfast---note to self: pancakes aren't their favorite. We also got to join Boston at school for his Valentine Party.
Hudson always thinks he's one of the big kids and Boston's friends are his friends too.
I really do just love these boys.
Since Kent is on a health kick and watching what he eats, I made him a fruit bouquet. I was pretty proud of my little bouquet.
That night we ordered heart shape pizza for the boys, the sitter came and Kent and I were off to Churrascos for dinner. I had been CRAVING a yummy steak and potatoes and Churrascos never fails to fulfill that. After dinner, Kent and I headed for a pedicure. This seems to be a tradition of ours on either valentines or anniversary and I LOVE it. After a FEW embarrassing moments (let's just say I had SKINNY jeans on that night and they are NOT pedi pants and then Kent thought the Asian lady wanted him to take his shirt off), we bolted out after giving them a nice tip.
I love this man. We've now spent 11 Valentine's together and 11 years ago on Valentines is when it all really began.
