Easter gives me an excuse to buy new Sunday clothes for my boys.
Since Easter was the weekend of General Conference, they wore the Easter clothes a week early even though they could have cared less about cooperating for pictures.
Now I'm looking back and deciding this bow tie is probably a tad too big for my liking....
This is just a snap shot later that day when we were outside. Nolan was ALL smiles laying on the blanket enjoying the beautiful weather and breeze!
Easter weekend we headed to Dallas. My sister's friend had a fabulous idea to do a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. We shoved money in the eggs with finger flashlights, made the husbands hide them and then the kids were off! This will officially be our new tradition!
I love a good tradition.
The next day we dyed Easter eggs in prep for the Easter bunny. This is about an hour before we found out Hudson had strep.
Nolan didn't care much about eggs.
The next morning, the kids were thrilled to find what the Easter bunny left behind.
I waited last minute to find matching Easter baskets for the boys. I didn't love what I found and next year I will buy FOUR matching ones so I don't have to buy new each year we have a another baby.
Then they were off to find the eggs the Easter bunny hid.
Conference was a little crazy this year I must admit. Trying to listen with 7 kids who were NOT in ANY mood to sit quiet for even the first session was almost impossible. Luckily, Kristin found this cute idea for them to make "peep" houses. This thankfully kept them occupied for us to listen for a little bit.
We finished with a tasty Easter dinner and carrot cake.
I love Easter.
I love my Savior.
I love that Easter helps remind me of the love my Savior has for me.
He lives.
