May has been another busy month in our house. Here's a quick run down of a few happenings.
It's tradition for us to go out on Cinco de Mayo for some yummy Mexican.
No one shoots down this tradition.
I've been very busy trying to decide on a new stroller for the baby. Hudson is always my tester. You would think with how much research I've done, I would have found exactly what I wanted....not yet. So stressful. I'll take any reviews/suggestions.
Boston constantly bugs Kent to take him to play basketball at Kent's friend's basketball court (yes, he built his own bball court--nice to have friend's in high places). Finally, Kent made it happen and took both boys on a Saturday. I swear all Boston cares about is sports. So he was in complete heaven that day.
It was character day at school. Boston LOVES the Magic Treehouse series so he decided to be Jack. It was easy enough so I didn't complain.
And of course, Hudson likes to goof off and be like Bubba.
or just be himself because he's pretty good at that.
Our pool opened! The boys were SO happy to get in the water. It was FREEZING so I stayed on the side while Kent was a little more hands on.
We still take advantage of our splash pad on the week days.
One night for FHE, I found what looked to be a cool way to make homemade ice cream in a bag. Yeah, total fail. Sorry boys. Good thing I had fudgsicles on hand in the freezer for backup.
Hudson got sick and spiked a fever of 103.7. It was just a virus that lasted a few days but I hate having sick kids. My kids have been pro's at not getting sick for a seriously LONG time and this one broke our streak.
Kent had plans to go with some friends to go camping with the boys. Well, when the rain came, the dad's decided to cancel that and take the boys to Main Event instead.
Costco is my favorite. Like whenever I need to go grocery shopping but don't want to go because I hate it so much, I make up for it and go to Costco instead. It's such a happier place to be. With all the samples my boys never complain either (although this picture would show otherwise).
I also took Hudson to the zoo. There's NO WAY I'm hitting that place up in the summer when it's 100+, pregnant and fighting massive crowds. Sorry Boston. I should have checked him out to have him come along. Whoops. Hudson enjoyed it though and STILL talks about the animals we saw.
Our May weather overall has been VERY pleasant. Like almost perfect. We tried to take advantage of that before the summer heat wave comes. There's a fun new park/dog park/walking trails close by now and we LOVE to take our bikes and scooters on the trail. Kent REALLY likes to wear Stella out, so she pulls him on the scooter. I'm actually impressed with how long she will actually do this.
May isn't over. Lots more happening. Can't wait for the middle of June for life to slow down.

Your boys are getting so grown up! The pic at costco made me laugh because there was only meat in the cart. You haven't changed one bit ;)
