We're Not in Kansas Anymore....

A few weeks ago we took the trip up north to the FAREEEEEZING cold in Kansas City to see my niece, Rylee be baptized. After driving threw a blizzard and me on the edge of my seat while Kent drove, we safely arrived (thank GOODNESS we have an SUV)! One perk to visiting my sister is that our good friends from our married college days live there going to med school. It had been awhile since we'd seen them so although it was a quick visit over lunch, it was still great catching up and seeing them! We also found out Lindsay is pregnant with baby #3 that day!!! Congrats again Jones!!!

This was the first time any of the Withers got to meet little Hudson! He was showered with plenty of love the moment we walked through the door! Rylee was so sweet to want to hold him and feed him! She's going to be a GREAT big sister to baby #4 in September!

Thanks to "Timmy Time" Boston has been OBSESSED with having snowball fights. He pretends to throw snowballs at us ALL the time. When we told him there was snow in Kansas, he was THRILLED to get a chance to have a REAL snowball fight! Thanks to Kristin and her friend, Boston was able to be geared up and ready for the snow!

Kent brought his own gear.
While Hudson decided it would be more fun to stay snuggled up and warm inside.

Charlie was ready to throw this HUGE snowball at me.
Sophie found this icicle that she was pretty proud of.
Boston was constantly throwing snow at me while I was taking pictures....apparently, Kent said he was throwing snow NONSTOP. He had to throw as many snowballs he possibly could while he had the chance!

The start of the snow fort.

Poor Soph was upset for some reason....but once she found that icicle she perked right up!
The next day we headed down to this fun little children's museum. The kids LOVED it. And yes, Kristin and I DO enjoy dressing our boys alike!
The kids LOVED watching this train go by.
The kids were terrified of this dinosaur. Chad doing this didn't help the situation.
Boston "flew" a helicopter.
I was the only one who braved riding the bike across the tightrope. Don't worry, there was no way to possibly even REMOTELY fall off.
I think Charlie enjoyed this water table the most. He was soaked by the time we left.
Kent thought it was pretty interesting too....

Yes, we are from Louisiana and PROUD of it.
No fear.
All the cousins (minus baby Krew).
(Pregnant) Auntie Kristin with baby Hudson ("Aunt Kristin PLEASE find out if I'm having a baby boy cousin or baby girl cousin").
We let the kids run around the train station for a little bit. Charlie and Sophie decided it was fun to give each other rides on the chairs.

After the children's museum/train station, we went to the cutest restaurant. They have actual trains that run along the top by the ceiling and deliver your food to you. The kids thought it was the COOLEST thing. The trains would go off as they went around to deliver the food. It was a guessing game to see if it was your food they were delivering or someone else's. Every time it was our food, we would cheer (KENT would cheer...LOUDLY). We were the only ones in the restaurant overly excited about it and got lots of looks our way.

And the REAL reason for our trip, Rylee's baptism.

We are so proud of her for making the decision to be baptized. The baptism was wonderful and I can't believe how big and mature Rylee is getting. She's such a good example to her family and friends. We love you Ry!

Chad's parents, Linda & Richard.

Our family with the baptism girl (Hudson was passed out sleeping in his carseat).

My parents with Rylee and crew.

Parents (and wonderful parents at that) of the baptism girl.

We LOVE you Rylee and really are proud of you! So glad we could be apart of your special day.

What a fun time! Thank you again, SO much for coming up and sharing this special day with us. I know it meant alot to Rylee (and to all of us). We had a lot of fun and I'm SO glad that we were able to help make Boston's dreams of playing in the snow come true! =)
