Lights

There are so many fun things to do during the holidays with the boys that just help make the season extra special.
Two years ago, we took Boston up to College Station to Santa's Wonderland.  We decided to head up there again this year the day after Thanksgiving to ring in the holidays!
The boys LOVED sitting in the bed of the Toone's truck

We were so happy that these three little girls came along (Jared and Ashlee too)!  The kids were moving and observing while all of the adults were wrangling, so it made it difficult to get some good shots at times.
Hudson surprisingly sat SO still next to my mom the whole time watching all the lights!
There are thousands of lights that you drive through and it lasts about 25-30 minutes...and with all this Texas pride you can't leave out an area dedicated to TEXAS!
By the time we got finished and headed back home, Boston was OUT like a light.
Last week we also decided to try out Houston Zoo Lights.  This is the first year they have ever done it and my boys LOVED it.
Kent kept saying how this kind of thing is RIGHT up my alley (I love making holiday memories and making them feel special and different)....I was grinning from ear and ear and loving every minute!  The boys sat in the wagon and snacked on popcorn as we cruised through the zoo.
We were able to see a few of the animals---lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, longhorns.
Who can resist sticking their head into these little picture spots?
One of the boy's favorite things at the zoo is banging on the drums
This picture is so blurry but I thought it was unique and neat!
We had such a great time and surprisingly beat the crowd.  This will definitely be put on our list for every year!
