Louisiana: Swamp Tour+Cars 2+Bowling

While we were in Louisiana, Carol took some of us on a swamp tour. We went out to Lafeyette where I'd never been for a swamp tour before. Our guide was VERY cajun and apparently famous at the same time.

We saw a few alligators pop their heads up if we caught a glimpse quick enough but since it was mating season we didn't get to see them up real close. We did get to see the head of one he brought along the swamp boat though!

He also passed around an alligator tooth for us to observe. To top off the whole trip, he offered all the adults some moonshine! JUST what we were looking for! HA! That stuff smelt disgusting and was tossed over board when he wasn't looking...shh!!!

He took us on a good long tour of the swamp. We saw EVERYTHING that swamp had to offer including these duck hut things for duck hunters in the middle of the water. Shortly after this Boston passed out on my lap so I didn't get any more pictures. Although it was bloody hot it was a good day spent with Kent's family! We finished the day off with some cajun food and a swim at Hillary's house! Thanks for the fun day Carol!

The next day we hit up the movie theatre to see the desired movie, CARS 2! Boston had been looking forward to this since we saw a preview for it LAST summer. It was Krew's FIRST movie. I dunno if he loved it but he sure enjoyed eating some yummy candy!

This picture cracks me up only because Charlie can NOT take ONE normal picture. I have a TON of pictures with him doing silly things. Like father, like son.

Hudson did well and was glued for the previews! Thankfully he wasn't too hard to juggle although I think we are almost out of the stage where we can take him to the movies until he gets older to enjoy them!

Boston for one reason or the other prefers to obsess over the "BAD GUYS" in the movie rather than the good guys. We try to explain that the bad guys never win to which he responds "Yes huh, francesco won TWICE!" Whatever. So he has an obession with francesco and not the beloved lightening mcqueen. What do you do?

Mimi promised to take the kids bowling so she followed through with her promise and we went bowling one day. The kids all LOVED it (and so did the adults).

The kids took turns rotating in these chairs. Whoever was next go to bowl, got the first chair and you'd move up a chair each time. Proud to see them taking turns and sharing! I can't remember who won but I'm pretty sure if you asked Boston he would remember!

Think this is the end of our trip? Nope! More to come!
