Sadly, Hollywood ended our last day at Disney. It was probably my FAVORITE park so I'm glad we ended with it. My mom gave all the grand kids Disney PJ's at Christmas in our big reveal box so we of course made them match in them and snap a picture for memory sake. Krew did NOT want to get in the picture but Kari worked with him and made it work.
None of the parks had been busy because we purposefully planned to avoid spring break but this must have been the Monday people started their spring break because it definitely started to get crowded. We made it work and were still able to do all that we wanted to accomplish. Our first stop, NYC!
We headed back to the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" playground. Let me tell you, as a KID I LOVED this place. As an adult, this gave me a panic attack. Too many kids and it was SO hard to keep track of your child. So, we didn't stay long.
We actually had a fairly early lunch reservation at Hollywood and Vine. All the Disney Junior characters are here and this is the place Boston had been talking about FOR MONTHS! He couldn't wait. Although we had a reservation, we still ended up waiting for a little bit so I snapped a few shots.
Auntie Kristin spoiling Hudson with fruit snacks. Thankfully, Hudson was feeling better Sunday evening and Monday he seemed up and ready to go play some more. He actually wasn't fully back to himself and just chilled in the stroller most the day. It's do or die at Disney. ;)
Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates is who we got to meet first. He was Boston's favorite.
Handy Manny
Special Agent Oso
June from Little Einstein's was there too but we missed her when we went dancing around the restaurant with Agent Oso. After lunch we headed over to the Indiana Jones stunt show. I LOVE this show. For whatever reason, Boston was a little nervous.
They asked for volunteers and Kent made quite the commotion to get CHAD up and involved. He's the man (looking like a woman) with the blue cloth over his head on the end to the right.
This is how Boston sat during the show.
Afterwards, we hit up the Star Wars ride. Kent is a Star Wars LOVER and had been looking forward to this ride for a little bit. There were some SERIOUS nerds getting on that ride (thankfully my husband is not that serious). Those Star Wars fanatics take that stuff seriously!
We FINALLY found the REAL Lightening McQueen and Mater. Boston REALLY thought they were real and even asked why they weren't talking. To this day he says he met the REAL Lightening McQueen!
We decided to let the kids paint their faces. It's probably the best face painting I've seen.
Our evil Darth Mul!
Boston was the bad Darth Mul while Charlie was the good Red Ranger and the girls were Tigers. Doesn't it look awesome?!?
We found Mr. Incredible and he had a face off with Darth Mul. It was pretty funny. Once he realized he wasn't going to hurt him, Mr. Incredible let him in for the picture.
MY FAVORITE RIDE OF THE WEEK--TOY STORY MANIA!!!! The RIDE WAS SOOOO FUN!! I'm still talking about it today. We wanted to ride it a second time but the line got so long, we couldn't justify waiting an hour+ and the fast passes were sold out for the day. Can't wait to go back and do it again!
One of the last rides we rode was Tower of Terror. Somehow, Boston agreed to go and I was pretty nervous for him. Boston sat by Kent and freaked out!! It was even a bit nerve wrecking for me! Poor Sophie got the crap squeezed out of her leg (sorry Soph)! Boston said he didn't want to ride it again until he got bigger. He said he was fine with ONE drop but didn't like it dropping over and OVER (that's the best part son). I'm proud of him for doing it though. That night was our favorite FANTASMIC show. We got front row seats, got a little wet, but enjoyed it regardless.
Notice Boston's face paint had worn off. That's the downside---having your son FREAK out when he drank something and it started to come off!
ALL the Princess Characters were apart of this show.
I LOVED Hollywood Studios and can NOT wait to hit that park up again next time!! We ended with a late night but had to go BIG on our last night there, right?
Tuesday, it was time to say goodbye to Disney AND the family. Our week in Florida had come to and end and I was super sad about this. Thankfully, Withers and us were on the same flight to Dallas before we split up and headed on our different planes home.
Disney World is a BLAST! It's SOOO magical, everyone is SOOO friendly, they have it down to a science, and it is just amazing! I'm so grateful we got to go! When we got home on Tuesday, I was a little depressed we were gone. We went out for dinner that evening and the people there weren't friendly like Disney people, there was no fun, jolly music playing in the background, nothing. Kent laughed that I was so sad about it but I was. Can't the WHOLE world be like Disney?? I miss it. I can't wait to go back!!!
