Labor Day in LA

Originally, my parents had planned to come to Houston for Labor Day weekend.  Since my dad is gone almost every weekend and LSU had there season opener, we decided to give my dad a break on traveling and go cheer on our Tigers in person.  Saturday, Kent had lunch with an old friend then we headed over to his mom's house to visit for a bit.  She was sweet enough to watch our boys while we headed with my parents to the game.  I LOVE LSU and their football pride.  Every year this man is in the same spot.  He has recreated this hurst and also had a casket redone with a plasma TV inside to watch the game (did I mention he also dresses up as a priest?)!  LSU fans crack me up!  They do NOT play around!
We love our Tigers and are happy to report that we WON 41-14 against North Texas.  We even left a little early which I don't think we have EVER done!
The next morning we headed to church with Kent's mom then went back to my parents to visit for a bit.  With hurricane Isaac hitting Louisiana just 2 days before we arrived (were we crazy to go just days after a hurricane?), we didn't get to spend too much time with my dad so we soaked up time with Mimi while we could...including get spoiled with treats.
Boston LOVED learning to play Battleship.  Can you tell he got excited about sinking one of mom's ships?
Monday, we didn't stay long because we needed to head back but not before the boys took a dip in the hurricane mess pool!
Our quick weekend visits to Baton Rouge are always just that, quick.  We enjoy seeing family when we can though and more importantly, we are happy to know they were all safe through the storm!

We enjoyed seeing our little guys! Alway nice to have family visit for any reason...even if the LSU game may have been the draw! HAHA! And I'm guessing that games that have nothing to do with electronics are still appealing to this new generation! Love ya'll

BATTLESHIP!!!!!! I LOVED that game growing up! How fun that Boston is playing it too. The look on his face in that picture with mom is priceless! You can totally tell that he loved it!

Those pictures of your boys makes me so sad that I can't just come over and play with them. Hudson is getting so big and thinning out so much. LOVE that picture of him with the goggles! And Boston is getting taller and taller and looking more and more like an actual boy. =( Stop them now!
